Here’s the scenario – you’re having a great day at home and the children are playing outside.  There’s lots of laughing and screaming and then, all of a sudden, you hear the crying.  You drop what you’re doing and head outside to see your child bleeding.  Nothing terribly serious, could be a whole lot worse.  Everyone calms down and you head back inside to tend to the wound.  Oops, the last of the bandages are in the junk drawer and they’re stuck together since they haven’t been used in awhile.

It may seem that a First Aid Kit seems a bit excessive for your home, but in reality everything you need would be in one small bag ready to use.  A first aid kit for your home could include:

  • Sterile gauze pads
  • Roller gauze
  • Adhesive tape
  • Adhesive bandages in assorted sizes
  • Triangular bandage
  • Scissors
  • Tweezers
  • Instant ice packs
  • Disposable non-latex gloves
  • Antiseptic wipes or soap
  • Hand Sanitizer
  • Eye patches
  • One way valve barrier
  • Emergency blanket

You can create your own, purchase a first aid kit in many stores or order easily online at Life’s Emergency Training.

Be ready and have a safety kit on hand. Everything you’ll need at that critical moment – all in one place!
